🌍 Touch down in Borneo! Welcome to Kuching, the charming capital of Sarawak. This city, with its mix of colonial and tribal influences, will be our gateway to adventure. After settling into your hotel, take a leisurely walk along the Kuching Waterfront, where vibrant markets, old temples, and the serene Sarawak River create the perfect introduction to the region.

In the evening, gather for a welcome dinner and get to know your travel crew over a plate of Sarawak laksa—a local must-try dish.

Activities: Semenggoh Wildlife Centre + Santubong National Park

🌿 Rise early for an unforgettable visit to the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, where rescued orangutans roam freely. Watch as these incredible primates swing through the jungle and interact with each other at feeding time.

Later, we head towards Santubong National Park, home to the stunning Blue Pool—a hidden natural wonder surrounded by dense rainforest. Take a refreshing dip before heading back to Kuching for a relaxed evening.

Activities: Boat Ride to Bako + Guided Jungle Hike + Night Walk

🌿🐒 Time to venture deep into Sarawak’s oldest national park! After breakfast, a short boat ride takes us to Bako National Park, a treasure trove of wildlife, including proboscis monkeys, bearded pigs, and silvered langurs. With a local guide leading the way, trek through lush jungle trails, sandy beaches, and dramatic sea cliffs.

🌙 As the sun sets, experience the rainforest at night on an optional Night Walk, searching for nocturnal creatures under the moonlit canopy and enjoying the magical sight of millions of fireflies  lighting up the darkness.

Activities: Flight to Mulu + Deer & Lang Caves

✈️ After breakfast, board a flight to Gunung Mulu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its limestone cave systems 🏔️ and ancient rainforests 🌿. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge, beautifully located in front of the river and deep inside the rainforest , offering an immersive jungle experience. Enjoy some time by the swimming pool , where you can relax while observing the wonders of the national park, before embarking on an afternoon adventure to explore Deer and Lang Caves.

Watch in awe as millions of bats 🦇 exit Deer Cave at sunset, forming mesmerizing spirals in the sky —a truly unforgettable sight.

🌙 As night falls, an optional guided Night Walk offers the chance to discover the hidden nocturnal world of Mulu National Park, where you might spot glowing fungi, tiny frogs , and other elusive rainforest creatures. 🏨 Accommodation: Benarat Lodge (or similar)

Activities: Mulu Canopy Walk + Clearwater Cave + Night Walk

🌿 Start the day by walking among the treetops  on the world’s longest canopy walkway, offering panoramic views of the rainforest. As you stroll above the jungle, keep an eye out for playful monkeys 🐒 swinging between branches and exotic birds 🦜 gliding through the canopy.

Then, board a longboat for a journey into the depths of Clearwater Cave, home to one of the world’s longest underground rivers. After exploring the cave, take a refreshing swim in Clearwater Pool —a pristine natural pool surrounded by lush jungle, with crystal-clear waters just as its name suggests.

In the afternoon, return to the lodge to relax and unwind by the pool, soaking in the peaceful jungle atmosphere before the evening sets in.

🌙 Another optional Night Walk is available, just like the previous evening, for those who want to further explore the rainforest’s nocturnal wonders.

Activities: Morning Flight to Kota Kinabalu + Local Market Exploration

🌴 ☀️ Enjoy a lazy morning by the pool before taking a late morning flight to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah’s vibrant coastal capital. The flight is very short, giving you plenty of time to settle in upon arrival.

After checking into your hotel, head to the Kota Kinabalu Port Market, where locals sell fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and traditional crafts—a perfect way to soak in the city's vibrant atmosphere.

Activities: Boat Tour to Three Tropical Islands

🐠 It’s time to hit the islands! Hop on a boat and cruise across the turquoise waters of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park 🏝️🌊, a stunning archipelago just off the coast of Kota Kinabalu.

🤿 Dive into an underwater paradise, where you’ll snorkel among vibrant coral reefs, spotting clownfish (yes, just like Nemo!) 🐠🐠, sea turtles 🐢, and an array of dazzling tropical fish swimming beneath the crystal-clear waters.

🏝️ Island-hop between Pulau Manukan, Pulau Sapi, and Pulau Mamutik, each offering pristine white sandy beaches—the perfect place to relax under the shade of swaying palms, sip on a fresh coconut 🥥, and soak in the tropical vibes.

Activities: Flight to Sandakan + First Kinabatangan River Safari

Fly to Sandakan, the gateway to Borneo’s wild interior. The flight is very short, and upon arrival, we’ll be picked up and transferred to Sukau Bilit Resort, our base for the incredible Kinabatangan River Safari.

In the afternoon, embark on your first river safari, gliding through the meandering waterways of the Kinabatangan River. Keep your eyes peeled for pygmy elephants 🐘, saltwater crocodiles 🐊, vibrant hornbills 🦜, mischievous proboscis monkeys 🐒, and even orangutans 🦧 swinging through the treetops.

🌿 This is one of the best places in Southeast Asia for wildlife spotting—so get your binoculars ready!

Activities: Morning River Safari + Jungle Trek + Evening Cruise

Wake up to the magic of the rainforest! The day kicks off with an epic sunrise river safari 🛶🌿, when the jungle is at its most alive. As the mist rises over the Kinabatangan River, keep your eyes peeled for proboscis monkeys leaping between trees, hornbills soaring above, and even pygmy elephants making their way to the water’s edge.
🌳 After breakfast, get ready for an amazing guided jungle trek—an adventure deep into the heart of Borneo’s rainforest. Walk beneath towering trees, listen to the calls of exotic birds, and watch for rare wildlife hidden in the dense foliage.

As the sun begins to set, it’s time for one final, unforgettable river safari. Glide along the tranquil waters of the river  as golden light reflects off the surface, creating the perfect scene for spotting crocodiles 🐊 lurking just beneath the surface, playful macaques 🐒 swinging through the trees, and the majestic Rhinoceros Hornbill  perched high above.

Your last morning in the wild… One final Kinabatangan River Safari 🛶🌿 awaits—your last chance to soak in the beauty of Borneo’s rainforest and spot any elusive wildlife still hiding in the dense jungle. Keep your eyes sharp—this is your final opportunity to witness the natural wonders of the Kinabatangan River.

🦧 Next stop: Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre—home to Borneo’s most iconic animal, the majestic orangutan. At this world-famous sanctuary, you’ll witness these incredible primates up close, watching as rescued orangutans swing freely through the jungle, interact with each other, and enjoy their daily feedings.

💛 Orangutans are the true symbol of Borneo—intelligent, deeply charismatic, and unforgettable. This visit will be one of the most memorable moments of the trip.

✈️ After this incredible encounter, it’s time to say goodbye. We’ll transfer to Sandakan Airport, where we’ll part ways—but the memories of Borneo’s rainforests, wildlife, and untouched nature will stay with you forever.
